½ teaspoon Stevia brown sugar blend (like Truvia or Splenda) or 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
⅛ teaspoon chili flakes
Instructions
To make the marinade, in a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, water, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, brown sugar blend or granulated sugar and chili flakes.
In a large bowl, place the flank steak. Add the marinade and toss to evenly coat. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes and up to 24 hours.
Brush the grates of a grill with the olive oil. Preheat on medium heat.
Remove the steak from the marinade shaking off excess marinade. Grill, covered, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F, 11 to 16 minutes, turning occasionally. Discard excess marinade.
In each of 4 containers, place 4 ounces of the steak. Cover and place in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
To defrost, place in the refrigerator overnight. To reheat, place uncovered container in the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute.
