Happy day 14 of National Nutrition Month. Today’s tip comes from a very talented sports nutritionist Heather Mangieri. Heather and I have spent countless hours talking nutrition and it is always a pleasure getting her perspective on healthy eating. Enjoy her tip!
Never Sacrifice Health for a Busy Lifestyle
Learn how to have both! As a busy working mom with 3 active kids, I understand that it’s difficult to prepare a healthy meal every evening on top of homework, extracurricular activities and house work. But with a little planning, you can have both. Take 3 to 4 hours, one day to plan and prepare 4 to 5 different meals for the upcoming week. This way, all you have to do is come home, heat and serve. This also makes it easier for older kids to have a healthy meal if parents get home later. Save meals that do not taste as good reheated for nights when you know you’ll have extra time.
