  • 1½ pounds apples (like Cortland, Fuji, Braeburn, McIntosh), cored and roughly chopped (about 4)
  • ½ cup water
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar-free maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Stevia brown sugar blend (like Truvia or Splenda)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  1. In a medium saucepan, add the apples, water, lemon juice, brown sugar blend, sugar-free maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover and reduce the heat to low and simmer until the mixture thickens, 30 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  2. Place the mixture into a blender and blend until smooth. Alternatively, use an immersion blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Place in a re-sealable container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
