Ingredients
- 1½ pounds flank steak
- ½ cup Soy-Garlic Marinade
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Soy Garlic Marinade
- 6 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup water
- 3 tablespoons lite soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ½ teaspoon Stevia brown sugar blend (like Truvia or Splenda) or 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon chili flakes
Instructions
- To make the marinade, in a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, water, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, brown sugar blend or granulated sugar and chili flakes.
- In a large bowl, place the flank steak. Add the marinade and toss to evenly coat. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes and up to 24 hours.
- Brush the grates of a grill with the olive oil. Preheat on medium heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade shaking off excess marinade. Grill, covered, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F, 11 to 16 minutes, turning occasionally. Discard excess marinade.
- In each of 4 containers, place 4 ounces of the steak. Cover and place in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
- To defrost, place in the refrigerator overnight. To reheat, place uncovered container in the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute.
